By registering for or using the Phonepesa platform (phonepesa.co.ke), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Kenya to use Phonepesa. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.

Phonepesa is an online marketplace that connects Kenyan freelancers (“Hustlers”) with businesses (“Partners”) that require digital services including but not limited to chat support, surveys, customer service, and translation tasks. Phonepesa facilitates the connection but is not a direct employer.

You must provide a valid email address, your real name, and an active M-Pesa-registered phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your login credentials with others. Phonepesa reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be fraudulent.

• Payment rates are set by business partners and communicated before task acceptance.
• Earnings are credited to your Phonepesa balance upon verified task completion.
• Withdrawals are processed via M-Pesa STK Push. The minimum withdrawal amount is KSh 200.
• Phonepesa does not charge hustlers a withdrawal fee. Transaction charges imposed by Safaricom / M-Pesa may apply.
• Earnings are forfeited if fraudulent activity is detected on your account.

You must not:

• Submit false, fabricated, or AI-generated task responses.
• Create multiple accounts to claim more tasks.
• Share confidential partner information accessed during gig completion.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, partners, or Phonepesa staff.
• Use automated tools or bots to complete tasks.
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose under Kenyan law.

Magazine subscriptions (Weekly KSh 49, Monthly KSh 199, Annual KSh 499) are charged via M-Pesa STK Push. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time by contacting hello@phonepesa.co.ke. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods already charged.

All content on the Phonepesa platform, including the logo, magazine content, and website design, is the property of Phonepesa Kenya. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission. M-Pesa is a registered trademark of Safaricom PLC.

Phonepesa provides the platform on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee continuous availability of gigs. We are not liable for losses arising from network outages, M-Pesa service disruptions, or partner decisions to cancel tasks. Our total liability to any hustler is limited to the amount of their outstanding unpaid balance.

Phonepesa reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for violation of these terms. Hustlers may close their account by contacting hello@phonepesa.co.ke. Outstanding balances above KSh 200 will be paid out upon verified account closure.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
